digitalhotel TV
Only 2 years ago the TV channels available in most UK homes were just the terrestrial BBC1,BBC2, ITV, Channel4 and Channel 5 so visiting a hotel where unfamiliar additional channels (CNN, MSNBC, Bloomberg, Nickelodeon) were available was aspirational even
if delivered on a 15' inch Nokiatm traditional CRT screen.
However with the recent advent of multi channel Freeviewtm and Sky+tm recorders offering hundreds of channels at home on the latest widescreen LCD TVs aspirational has been replaced by ridicule.
The Hotel Consortium has recently launched our innovative digitalhotel TV system offering both Freeview with optional Satellite content to meet your guest expectations.
The Freeview only setup can be enhanced to our digitalhotel TVplus6 or digitalhotel TVplus12 offerings to give 6 or 12 additional satellite channels. The system can further be enhanced by deployment of the Media hubs to offer guest connectivity to their PCs or iPods.
The guest device is changing from a traditional laptop to pocket devices such as the iPodtm Touch and iPhonetm as content providers start to agree non copy protection delivery financial models with Apple iTunestm, Nokia's comes with music and Vodafone MusicStationtm.
The BBC iPlayer is now also available for Uk users of the Apple iPhone,iPod Touch and Nintendo Wii.

We can audit your existing infrastructure to discover areas that should be addressed as part of your move to digitalhotel TV to ensure a quality sound and picture combination.
Our digitalhotel TV solution is based on free to air digital Freeview channels and is upscalable to digitalhotel TVplus if you require multilingual or subscription sports channels to meet your guest mix or to meet brand standards.
These can be a mix of Digital Satellite such as Sky Astra or Eutelsat Hotbird 6/7A/8.
Thus digitalhotel TVplus is fully customisable to your required specific needs such as offering a free to air Korean news channel to attract overseas visitors to a local Korean owned manufacturing plant.
This also reduces the cost to deploy, as no interface to your Front Office system for billing is required.
We also recommend the guest room TV is added to your in room environmental control system so it is switched off completely every time the guest leaves the room to avoid expensive energy wastage.
